Hi there, I’m Cheryl, and I’m a food geek. There, I said it. Glad that’s out of the way.

I live in Glasgow and during the day I can be found colouring in furiously in my job as a graphic designer. However, once the work shoes have been kicked off, you’ll find me getting stuck right in, gloriously happy, in my tiny little kitchen.

I started this blog on a whim in February of 2014. It had been something I had been meaning to do for a while and I finally decided to go for it. Cooking makes me ridiculously happy and I want to share that with others, it’s also a handy way of keeping track of what I’ve cooked recently and a personal challenge to move out of my comfort zone.

I’d love to hear what you think of my blog/recipes/terrible spelling and grammar….anything really. So please leave me a comment on the blog or send me an email at: cherylmckenzie83@gmail.com

Can you tell me where in Glasgow I can buy spicy Italian sausage to try out your spaghetti recipe? I once ate this in the Caprese restaurant in Buchanan Street. Absolutely loved it and would like to try it for myself. Thanks for your help. Regards.

Hi there Joyce, thank you for getting in touch. Any good Italian deli should be able to sell you Italian sausage – Glasgow has lots of good ones, my favourite being the deli attached to Coias in Dennistoun.

If you’re feeling adventurous, you could also have a go at making your own Italian sausage – easier than it sounds and well worth the effort.

Here’s a post that I did for making the sausage itself, it might give you a wee bit of inspiration http://theglasgowscullery.com/2014/02/14/adventures-in-sausage-land-spicy-italian-sausage/

Hope this has helped and you are able to recreate the meal you enjoyed so much when you were out for dinner.
